1969: Local Paper Reports On Wilkie Clark'S SBA Loan Approval
The newspaper article that appears below is probably one of the most important articles of my father's entire life. Approximately 3 months after he celebrated his 49th birthday, he is finally approved for a Small Business Loan, after several years of trying and failing to be approved for the SBA loan.
We found this article in a June, 1969 issue of The Roanoke Leader. We don't know if daddy EVER even realized that it was published. However, we were aware of the event, only because he retained his original paperwork for YEARS. For him, this approval was probably one of the happiest days of his entire life.
